Tiska is a prayer artist. Working with tattoos in a sacred manner, she sees them as a prayer in action, that connect us to the Source. Like an invisible link between us and the Cosmos, the stories written in the stars, the songs of our Ancestors, the rites of passage and the unique journey that we are embracing here, on our beloved Mother Earth.This ancient practice of writing codes and tattoos, is a connection, a promise, a humbling experience of being in gratitude, for this life, this breath, this heart. Experiencing forgiveness, compassion and love gives a different depth to this work of devotion.Tiska’s style is a merging of nature-flow, symmetry and code writing. Using the machine as her sacred tool, she often ‘hears’ the silent language of the heart, that can be interpreted and reviewed in collaboration with the wearer of the marking.
